National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. These permanent dates enhance planning and position National Nurses Week as an established recognition event. As of 1998, May 8 was designated as National Student Nurses Day, to be celebrated annually. And as of 2003, National School Nurse Day is celebrated on the Wednesday within National Nurses Week (May 6-12) each year. The nursing profession has been supported and promoted by the American Nurses Association (ANA) since 1896.
“Just Jenny,” not Jennifer, is our Director of Wellness. She is the first Director for the VITALIA® – North Royalton Senior Living Community since the community just opened March 1, 2022. Jenny brings a strong clinical skill set, a sense of humor, much patience, and a strong desire to succeed.
Jenny has a fun “vibe” with many smiles while leading a clinical team. They have done a great job opening this assisted living community from the ground up. They are not only the wellness team but also the servers, activity crew and anything in between. Team VITALIA® – North Royalton ROCKS! With a caring attitude they work with the residents and families. Their energy is endless.
With the community just opening in March, we were very well prepared for handling Covid-19. The dedication of the team at their previous employers is commendable and we look forward to continuing to have a safe environment.
At VITALIA Active Adult Community® – North Royalton North Royalton, OH we will be recognizing our nurses during National Nurses Week with gifts each day, followed by a pinning ceremony from one of our retired nurse residents at the town hall meeting.
